Woman who cut off her stepson's genitals has been remanded in Prison

LIB reported about this gruesome incident that happened some days ago in Minna, Niger State. A woman named Bara'atu (pictured) who is the step mother of the baby boy, allegedly cut off his penis. She was arrested and placed in custody pending her arraignment in court. The boy survived the incident and was rushed to a hospital in Minna where doctors urgently operated on him in order to provide a way for him to urinate.

A Nigerian soldier, Muazu Alhaji Misiya, who is stationed in Bama, Borno state, shared these photos on his Facebook wall. According to him, the woman who is believed to be mentally unstable, was found inside a bush in Bama yesterday June 27th. Efforts to get her name or address failed as she refused to talk. He said anyone who knows her should please contact him on Facebook.
